Central Jakarta Mayor Bayu Meghantara asks the urban village and sub-district heads to optimize pollutant absorbent plants as an effort to improve air quality in Jakarta.

"Besides park, we will also focus on other locations like RPTRA until Taman Hati PKK in the RT or RW environment," he expressed, after he led an executive meeting, at the local Mayor Office, Tuesday (10/8).

He explained the type of the plant would be coordinated with the Central Jakarta Forestry Sub-agency. Moreover they support efforts to realize the 2 million plants that included 500,000 trees and 1.5 million ornamental plants to be planted by 2022.

"Now it would enter the rainy season, this is very good for planting," he stressed.
